April Larocque

I started at Flux School of Human Movement in May of 2014. I was looking for a change, a different gym than what I had been to many times before. At Flux I enjoy focusing on Movement & Mobility and Gymnastics, but have learnt the importance of also incorporating CrossFit and Weight Training for balance.

My background and education is with music and arts. I have never really considered myself to be athletic. I have taken my Early Childhood Education and have taught Kindermusik, (which is a music and movement program) to all ages of children. I have worked in a daycare and later ran my own home daycare for over 6 years. Working with children is a huge passion of mine. Incorporating music throughout the day is so beneficial too.

The coaches at Flux School of Human Movement truly care about bettering each and every individual to reach their full potential and challenging you when you sometimes can't see it or push yourself. I have found it an honour to train under Flux's Principal and co-owner Darci Anderson.
The amount of strength, flexibility, confidence, knowledge, and over all better health I have taken away from being a member here is unmeasurable. I have attended Ido Portal's workshops with Odelia Goldschmidt at Flux as well as attended Capoeira workshops with Mestre Parafina (Amir Solsky). I have taken my CrossFit Gymnastics course with Charles Bennington and am looking forward to taking my Agatsu Kettlebell Instructor Level 1 course in June 2017.

I love Flux for its close community feel and friendships I have made. It is 100% a gym for everyone and anyone, no matter your level of ability, strength or fitness background. Flux School of Human Movement is a place I look forward to coming to. I have a passion to help people succeed and I am looking forward to being a part of the team!
