CrossFit
CrossFit is the BEST strength and conditioning program for athletes training for a specific sport. With its focus on functional movements, that are constantly varied and performed at a high intensity, the CrossFit training regime mimics the demands and challenges an athlete faces, whether on the ice or field. CrossFit is completely scaleable. The loads, repetitions, distances and intensity can all be varied according to each athlete’s experience.
Over the past 2 years flux CrossFit Coach Darci Anderson has worked with over 30 young athletes from various sport backgrounds and all have unequivocally benefited from flux CrossFit. The flux CrossFit program has enabled these young athletes to develop the functional strength necessary to meet the rigorous demands of their respective sport. Parents also often comment that they notice a surge in confidence in their children in their everyday life. Importantly, these athletes develop the self-knowledge necessary not only to excel as an individual athlete but also to celebrate the accomplishments of their peers.

Flux CrossFit and Food
Flux CrossFit promotes and cultivates a healthy and commonsense approach to food and nutrition. Flux CrossFit challenges the typical North American obsession with diet and instead encourages athletes to develop a healthy relationship to food – one that recognizes the pleasures and social nature of food. Instead of counting calories flux athletes learn to appreciate the value of nutritious, ecologically minded food.
