lucy hill (On-Leave)

started working out at Flux CrossFit in the summer of 2008 when Flux was in its early stages (in a garage). In September 2009, Lucy received her Level 1 CrossFit certification in Vancouver and began coaching at Flux. She has taken a number of workshops with Ido Portal.

I am the Business Director and co-owner of Flux CrossFit, head coach of Flux CrossFit Kids and and Director of the Saskatchewan School of Champions Weightlifting Club. I have a Doctorate in Ethnomusicology and Popular Music Studies and a Masters of Arts Degree in Women’s Studies from York University. I am also the Canada Research Chair in Interactive Media and Performance and Associate Professor in Media and Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Regina.

I have attended the seminar on Paleolithic nutrition, given by Robb Wolf, author of The Paleo Solution.


In October 2011 I completed my Agatsu Weightlifting Certification with Pierre Augé.


 

Ariane Desrosiers

first came to Flux CrossFit in the summer of 2009 and soon after completed the CrossFit Olympic Lifting certification (December 2009). After achieving her Level 1 CrossFit certification in March 2010, Coach Ariane started training Flux CrossFit Kids with head coach Charity and has become one of our Flux coaches. In October 2011 she completed her Agatsu Weightlifting Certification with Coach Pierre Augé.

 

MIEKA Boehmer

first came to Flux CrossFit in July 2010. Coach Mieka achieved her CrossFit Level 1 certification in September 2010. Coach Mieka is currently working on completing her OPT CCP. In October 2011 she completed her Agatsu Weightlifting Certification with Coach Pierre Augé. Coach Mieka is the Secretary for  the Saskatchewan School of Champions Weightlifting Club. She has been competing in sports her whole life but is most passionate for the 800m and Javelin in Track and Field and Rugby. She loves to massage part time and inspire others to maximize their athletic potential.


 

jane mcleod

completed her certification in CrossFit (Level 1) in May 2009 and CrossFit Gymnastics in Oct 2009. In October 2011 she completed her Agatsu Weightlifting Certification with Coach Pierre Augé. She has been with Flux since the start and loves it.  She was pretty much addicted from the first workout. Coach Jane also works as an engineer with the Government of Saskatchewan. She is very excited to help other people out when they work out at Flux CrossFit.


 

verne anderson

completed his CrossFit (Level 1) in Fall 08. Representing Canada, Coach Verne and team Hrytzac won the 2009 Fifty and Over World Curling Championship in New Zealand.


 

Mike Stuber

first started coming to Flux in June of 2011, after trying out a few other gyms. He immediately fell in love with the place. Spurred on by improvements in my level of fitness he decided he needed a way to spend more time at Flux. He took up Olympic Weight Lifting and in October of 2011 received his Level 1 Agatsu Weightlifting Certification from Coach Pierre Augé. He is also interested in gymnastics and nutrition. Mike completed his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate course in January 2012 in Calgary. He is looking forward to becoming part of the talented coaching staff and working with the amazing athletes at Flux.


 

Alisha Beler

first came to Flux CrossFit in September of 2010 and completed her CrossFit (Level 1) certificate course in January 2012. She has participated in competitive sports at a national level including Team Saskatchewan Baseball, Team Saskatchewan Softball, and she currently plays receiver for the Regina Riot women’s tackle football team. Alisha has been hooked on Flux CrossFit since she started and is looking forward to motivating everyone in their training.   


 

Sandi Klempner

first started coming to Flux in September of 2010 and was hooked immediately. She was formerly a Competitive Gymnast in Power Tumbling and Trampoline and competed for the Saskatchewan provincial team for 4 years. She completed  Agatsu Weightlifting Certification with Coach Pierre Ague in October 2011 and completed her CrossFit Level 1 certificate course in January 2012. She enjoys being a part of the excellent Flux coaching staff, and also helping others achieve their goals and be there to support them and celebrate when they do.
